Principal Software Engineer Aurora, CO Sterling is seeking a talented software engineer to join our team. The candidate must have experience and knowledge with software engineering using object oriented methodologies. Candidates should have ability to work well on a team and independently. Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include: # Reviewing requirements with Systems Engineering, System Architect and Software Team Lead # Software design activities and creating/maintaining artifacts # Code and thorough unit test # Support test integration as necessary # Analysis, assessment, and workoff of discrepancy reports # Provide weekly status (technical and schedule) for own task Requirements: * United States Citizen * Existing SSBI level clearance * Minimum 8 years working experience in object-oriented software design and development using Java or C++ # Experience with the entire software lifecycle (preliminary design through maintenance phases) Desired Skills: * Experience in the Mission Planning domain. * Experience with the Equinox Mission Scheduling and JDelphi reuse baselines. * Experience with Oracle Required Education (including Major): Bachelor of Science, BS in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Math.
