Mediaplex is seeking a Senior Oracle database developer responsible for Mediaplex's ETL and datafeed infrastructure. Essential Functions and Responsibilities * Write, review and deploy PL/SQL code in test, Q/A and production. * Design and implement data structures which are scalable, maintainable, flexible, and reliable. * Manage database objects including partitioned tables, indexes, views, constraints, db links, and scheduled jobs. * Develop monitoring processes (capacity, performance, consistency) to assure processing issues are identified and resolved swiftly. * Shell scripting to maintain database administration batch jobs. * Maintain current database schema documentation and utilize source code control. * Available for on-call application level support of production systems. * Coordinate with operational database support team. * Assure key database performance and capacity metrics remain healthy with adequate excess capacity. * Provide troubleshooting expertise, identify and resolve performance issues including tuning processes. Required Education and Experience * 7+ years of progressive development and DBA experience with Oracle RDBMS. * Proficient with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. * Experience with Oracle partitioning and parallelism. * Experience with Oracle partitioning, parallelism and distributed transactions (RAC a plus). * Knowledge of DSS, ETL and star/snowflakes schemas. * Knowledge of Oracle CBO queries, execution plans, query performance tuning and optimization. * Experience with database development, troubleshooting and tuning in the live Internet environment. * Working knowledge of Linux operating system * Self-motivated, self-directing and adaptive to a fast-paced industry. * Academic success.
