Postdoctoral Fellow - Thoracic ImagingA one year postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Section of Thoracic Imaging at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center at Houston. Under the supervision of a faculty member, this person will conduct postdoctoral-level research in all aspects of thoracic imaging including oncologic imaging, MR/CT tumor perfusion and tumor metrics. The candidate will also be involved in writing grants, submission to the IRB, data acquisition, preparing and publishing scientific manuscripts and other research project duties as assigned. Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or one of the basic sciences are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates should have strong background in medical imaging and computer skills for the application of image analysis and development of computer algorithms, and/or imaging. Requirements: The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, be able to multi-task and meet deadlines, confident, highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
