POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPA post-doctoral fellowship is available to work on the creep behavior and microstructural evolution of novel, Laves-phase-strengthened, alumina-forming, austenitic stainless steels. The work will involve analysis of the complex precipitation in these alloys and understanding the interaction of gliding dislocations with the precipitates. Successful applicants will have extensive experience in the use of a transmission electron microscope (TEM) for both precipitate and dislocation analysis. Experience in TEM in-situ straining experiments and mechanical testing would also be highly advantageous. The successful candidate will start on July 1st or soon thereafter. Applicants should send a C.V. and the names of three referees to Prof. Ian Baker at Ian.Baker@Dartmouth.edu.
