Research projects focus on the roles of chemokines, miRs and exosomes and their interactions with the bone marrow microenvironment in regulating cellular signal transduction, which contributes to cancer metabolism. Emphasis is also placed on the role of different apoptosis regulators in the leukemia microenvironment and molecular charge in MSC in response to leukemia. Cutting-edge technologies such as proteomics, DNA array, RNA interference, confocal microscopy, FACS including CyTOF, and animal imaging will be available. Applicants must have an excellent first-author publication history and must be highly motivated. A strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, and/or biochemistry and hematopoiesis is desired. Experience with signal transduction, cell metabolism, stem cells, and transgenic mouse experiments would be a plus.
