Savings Manager Develops strategy for integrating alternative delivery channels (including POs, mobile banking and other potentially relevant technologies) into savings mobilization and ensuring that both initiatives are aligned from a sound business practices Directs savings forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates. * Directs channel development activity and coordinates savings distribution by establishing savings territories, quotas, and goals. * Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from savings line. * Delivers savings presentations to key clients in coordination with savings and sales representatives. * Meets with key clients, assisting savings representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. * Coordinates liaison between savings department and other business related units. * Prepares periodic savings report showing saving volume and areas of proposed client base expansion. * Directs product research and development. * Establishes the Savings Guideline and Strategy of the COMPANY Subsidiary in line with THE COMPANY International Savings policy. * Designs and proposes the annually Business Plan for Savings in THE COMPANY Subsidiary, and follows up its implementation. * Defines and monitors the monthly/annually targets by branches and individuals (front office staff). * Creates the institution structure to support Savings Business in all the levels, form HO to branches, and implements accordingly. * Designs and develops the Savings Products according to the market trends and THE COMPANY International policy. * Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition. * Coordinates and maintains all relationships with Donors and THE COMPANY International related to Savings issues. Responsible for the Savings Department: Plans activities and events to the purpose of maintaining relationship with Top Savers Customers of THE COMPANY Subsidiary and assists branches with tools and methods to maintain customer’s relationships in the branch level. In collaboration with Marketing Department, plans periodical events such as branded outdoor promotions, campaigns, financial education and other social events to support the Saving Business. * Plans and organize the periodical follow-up/communication meetings for Branches and Regions. * Coordinates with Operation/Compliance Department to improve the procedures and processes related to Savings Products. * Reviews the consistency of all the Savings Reports generated periodically from the system and makes the necessary changes. * Responsible to monitor the Dormant Accounts process, prepares the action plan to reduce the number and volume of these accounts. * Participates in the recruitment process and the annual review of staff assessment, both Department’s staff (Business Product Specialist and Reporting Officer) and Front Office staff (Savings Supervisor, CCO, Tellers). * Monitors and encourage the Card Business Activity, mobile banking. * Prepares and manages the mystery shopping activities related to savings products (in-house mystery shopping to the competitors for the product features), and outsource mystery shopping for staff skills and product knowledge. * Reports and provide periodical feedback to Board of Management regarding Savings Activities. Requirements * Have a minimum of 5 Years of experience in retail banking operations (preferably 10), 2 of which with senior management exposure. * Can demonstrate the ability to manage change. * Can demonstrate an ability to manage and motivate teams across large geographic areas within a Country. * Have had to develop and implement business strategy in a fast paced and changing environment. * Have excellent sales skills and can clearly demonstrate success in sales activities. * Have Customer Relationship Experience from a commercial bank. * Have Marketing exposure and insight. * Has the ability to connect with both Microfinance and Corporate banking clientele. * Citizen of Uganda Competencies: * Design * Problem Solving * Customer Service * Visionary Leadership * Change Management * Strategic Thinking * Innovation * Cross functional Relationships * Situational Leadership Salary: Neg Start: Urgent Apply for this exciting position online by visiting the website.
