Senior Credit OfficerThe Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) is a state Corporation whose objective is to provide quality and sustainable customer focused financial services for the development of the agricultural sector in Kenya. In order to achieve this objective, the Corporation seeks to recruit qualified and experienced professionals in the following areas:- Deployment To be deployed at the Credit Department. Responsibilities * Participates in the development and implementation of credit policies, programs, procedures and guidelines. * Plans, coordinates and monitors the activities of assigned loan programs. * Interprets and explains loan procedures and requirements to loan applicants, other stakeholders and the general public. * Recruits clients, appraises applications and recommends for approval/rejection as necessary. * Codes inputs for A/C opening, undertakes disbursement and monitors project implementation. * Monitors loans to ensure that they are being serviced properly. * Reviews delinquent accounts and analyzes collection problems; develops recommendations and/or solutions. * Carries out inspection and valuation of securities and supervises seizure and disposal of chattels and land securities through the appointed auctioneers. * Prepares periodic monitoring and evaluation reports of credit program activities; Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Economics or a related field. * 4 Years experience in a busy service oriented environment. * Computer literacy a must. * Strong analytical skills. * Candidates with CPA qualifications will have an added advantage.
