I will be the next Migori governor through the ODM party ticket- Nyamita Migori governor aspirant Mark Nyamita has vowed to form the next county government through an ODM party ticket. Nyamita said his first party option will be Orange Democratic Movement, and nothing will stop him from clinching the party ticket. “My first option for the party ticket will be ODM. My second option will be ODM and my third option is ODM and that is what will propel me to be the next governor of Migori county,” he said. Nyamita was speaking at Mabera DO’s ground where he challenged both national and county governments to directly channel funds to youth organizations like Uwezo funds. He said the youth can benefit fully when funds are not taken through many interested institutions run by politicians who are targeting votes in certain regions. Nyamita also criticised Migori County governor Okoth Obado for failure of giving youths a chance to apply for tenders pointing out to same faces winning tenders. He wondered why Migori county government has failed to break tenders to labour based contractors like youth for them to apply. “Youth groups cannot cope with continuous buying of tenders yet they are not winning them in return as required by the law,” he said. He told them not to be used by politicians as hooligans but to maintain peace and order as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) prepares for preliminaries.
