HTS COUNSELORS VACANCY NO: MOH/FACES/MIGORI-08-16 Key Requirements • Must have a mean grade of at least C minus and above in KCSE • Must have HTC certificate certified by NASCOP • Must have been trained in HTC new algorithm training • Must have at least one year experience in HIV testing and counselling • Those with medical laboratory skills, counsellor supervision skills, couple and paediatric counselling skills will have an added advantage Duties and Responsibilities • Provide confidential HIV counseling and testing to persons at risk for HIV infection as per Kenyan HTC national Guidelines. • Must ensure that all strategies within the facility and targeted community areas (following of children of index patients) are implemented to achieve high yield. • Must be able to meet the daily set targets for the site i.e must test 15 patients in a day • Provide special group counseling e.g couples, discordant couples, youths and adolescents. • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of the patient’s information within the facility. • Must be able to link all newly identified HIV positive patients identified to care and treatment services • Writing and submitting monthly and quarterly reports to the supervisors
