Postdoctoral Research Associate – Photonics Photonic Devices and Systems Laboratory of the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with special interests in optical and electrical characterization and simulation of a variety of device structures including novel polymer films, waveguides and microspheres. The appointee will conduct experimental studies in support of wide-reaching objectives including an all-optical neuronal sensor and stimulator package and photonic integrated circuits based on electro-optical polymer architectures. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the use and maintenance of existing characterization assemblies and the design and development of new optical measurement and characterization assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a love of hands on laboratory work. A recent PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Materials Science, Physics, or related field is required.
