Component Design Engineer Candidate will be responsible for pre-silicon validation of mobile and desktop chipsets. Candidate will be responsible for defining and developing validation strategy/tools/methods, validation IP (BFMs, Test generators ..), test plans and coverage methodologies for pre-silicon validation of the USB3 controller. In this position, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Responsible for the USB3 Pre-si Validation Test Plans, design and implementation of tests to uncover RTL bugs and other issues - Debugging in both simulation and other environments Qualifications You must possess at least a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Plus three to six years of on the job experience; Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Plus three to six years of on the job experience: - Working knowledge of modern PC architecture; Specific IO architecture knowledge is a plus - Excellent debugging and general problem solving skills - Strong hardware and software development skills - Solid OOP programming skills in either C/C++, scripting languages (Perl for example), or System Verilog - Knowledge of Unix/Linux OS Preferred Requirements: Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
