Postdoctoral Fellow: Bioactive Nanostructured CoatingsPostdoctoral Fellow: Bioactive Nanostructed Coatings Institute for Diagnostic Imaging Research University of Windsor, Windsor, ON Description: Postdoctoral Fellow to work on cutting-edge development of bioactive nanostructured coatings for medical implant devices. The project will include both experimental work involving the deposition of nanostructured coatings by using plasma electrolytic oxidation as well as characterization of the formed coatings at the implant device level. Required Experience: The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in materials science, chemical engineering or related field. Background in the following areas is highly desirable: nanostructured coatings, surface modification of medical implants, plasma electrolytic oxidation and characterization of nanostructured coatings. Experience with growing TiO2 films over a PEO oxidized Ti surface is a plus. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate research result in the form of journal papers and oral presentations is essential. Duration: Initial appointment will be for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year upon satisfactory performance and available funding.
