Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Biomedical Informatics-NLP/ Machine LearningThe Solti Lab in the Division of Biomedical Informatics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the research team. The lab is funded by multiple CCHMC and NIH grants to extract clinically relevant information from the electronic health record (including narrative text). The Fellow will contribute to the NIH funded clinical trial eligibility screening and the Cincinnati-Boston Children's collaborative pediatric eMERGE initiatives. For more information about our research see: https://research.cchmc.org/solti/ Qualified candidates for the Fellow position have earned a PhD in biomedical informatics, computer science, artificial intelligence, computational linguistics or closely related field. Research experience with Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) are mandatory. Good command of both written and oral English is required. First author peer reviewed journal publications are a must. Strong programming skills and familiarity with Unix/Linux environment for programming are required. Java and Unix cluster computing experiences and familiarity with clinical NLP are preferred. NLG experience is a definitive advantage. The Fellow will collaborate with other postdoctoral fellows, programmers and clinical annotators within the lab and the Division of Biomedical Informatics (BMI).
