Nakumatt Unveils Portable Retail Store Nakumatt-on-Wheels-Rhino-charge Have you ever been in a situation where you are attending an amazing event in a remote location and all of a sudden you need something but then you realize that you left it at home when rushing to the event? And when you look around there is no sight of a retail store? Imagine all the frustrations that come along with looking for an alternative solution. Well you can now stop worrying about all the tiresome hustle of carrying many things to such events since Nakumatt Holdings has unveiled a portable retail store to provide shopping solutions during key events in remote locations. The 200-Square-Feet store dubbed ‘Nakumatt on Wheels’ (NoW) will be housed in a 20Ft-shipping air-conditioned container and will be available for rapid deployment countrywide. The pilot Now store shown above was developed using 15 million to be deployed during such special events, fundraising events and special operation location such as military training, mining, oil exploration, drilling camps among others. Speaking during the flagging off session of the pioneer NoW Store at Nakumatt Headquarters, the firm’s, Business Development Manager Neel Shah disclosed that the containerised unit will stock a variety of retail products and is geared at providing retail convenience in remote locations. “By introducing NoW, we are keeping up with our mission to provide retail convenience to our Smart shoppers even in remote locations,” said Shah. The NoW Store will feature retail amenities including, computerised checkout tills and refrigeration units. It will be supported by an external power generation unit and independent refrigeration truck to guarantee product freshness. “NoW will also enable us to support various fundraising initiatives’ geared at environmental conservation by encouraging our customers to participate,” he said. This weekend, the innovative store will open its doors ready to serve competitors and spectators attending the 25th Rhino Charge off-road motoring event at a remote location in Kajiado County.
