DiCe CLINICIAN –VACANCY NO. MOH/FACES/MIGORI-05-16 Key requirements • Must have a mean grade of C plain and above in K.C.S.E. • MUST have at least a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized institution with a valid practicing license • The candidates should be trained in ART Adherence counselling and have skills/ knowledge in counselling in the context of HIV/AIDS. • The candidates should have at least one year experience in HIV clinical care including anti-retroviral. • Should be willing to work in an environment that provides care to Key populations in the context of HIV Skills and Abilities • Must be a team player, self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills • Must be flexible, willing to adjust and integrate into DiCe activities. • Training in PHDP, Advocacy for HIV Prevention or other relevant training will be an added advantage Duties and Responsibilities: • He/She will be responsible for provision of comprehensive HIV Care and treatment services at selected Drop In Centres for Key Populations, including: • Clinical reviews including history and physical exam • Prescribing treatment as needed • Ordering appropriate investigations including timely Viral load testing Refer clients accordingly • Training and mentoring of other health workers within the DiCe • Maintain patient’s dignity and confidentiality • Maintain good relationships with the rest of the DICE team, patients, and entire community at large. • Conduct regular chart review to ensure appropriate patient management • Participate in Case discussions (reviews) and MDTs. • Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
