Migori County Maryland University Jobs-1- HTS SERVICE PROVIDERS – HIV TESTING AND COUNSELLING: THREE (3) POSITIONS –REF: MCPSB 266/2019 The HTS Service Provider will work under the Facility in charge/CCC in-charge, with a dotted line to MGIC LCS Specialists, the following being the main roles and responsibilities:- (a) Duties and Responsibilities i. Ensure HTS screening for all OPD/IPD clients in the facility ii. Provide HTS to eligible clients in all service delivery points in the facilities. iii. Provide confidential HIV counseling and testing to persons at risk of HIV infection as per Kenya HTS National Guidelines. iv. Must be able to prepare HIV patients well for treatment and initiation into ART. v. Must be able to Link and follow up on clients who turn HIV Positive until initiation. vi. Must be able to meet daily, weekly and monthly set organizational targets for the facility. vii. Provide Group counseling e.g. Couples, Discordant couples, Youth and Adolescents. viii. Provide HTS to Family Members of all index clients and Provide PNS to all eligible clients ix. Must be able to Maintain Confidentiality of Patient’s information. x. Will be reporting to the SCMOH through the Facility in charge and indirectly to the SCASCO and HTS Specialist, Lead HTS Counselor on daily work related matters. xi. Work closely with the SCASCO, UMB HTS specialist Facility in charge and other MOH staff to ensure smooth provision of HIV services and increase MOH ownership and capacity. xii. Must be able to link all Newly Identified HIV Positive patients identified to care and treatment services. xiii. Writing and submitting timely, accurate and precise daily, monthly and quarterly reports to the supervisors. xiv. Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor. (b) Key Performance indicators i. Each counsellor test 15 clients per day ii. HTS counselor will be responsible to link 95% >of clients each HTS counselor identifies positive iii. Enroll 95% of all adult clients for PNS iv. Test 95% of all PNS eligible clients v. Ensure facility Family index screening is ongoing at CCC daily and 95% of all eligible contacts tested vi. Test 95% of all eligible Family index contacts vii. 95% of all new positives started on ART (c) Requirements for Appointment i. Diploma in health related field ii. NASCOP trained and approved HTS Counselor iii. Computer competency is required iv. Recent 2018 PT results v. Experience working in the region is an added advantage vi. Satisfy the requirement of Chapter six 0f the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity (d) Terms of Service: Contract HOW TO APPLY: 1.
